It seems as if gravity becomes more apparent when you age. Everything goes down south, even your brows. If you want to eliminate all the fine lines and wrinkles, you may want to consider a brow lift. But before you can commit to this type of procedure, you also need to familiarize yourself with the types available. Some methods may work better for you, and if you’re careful about the choice you make, you’ll have the outcome you’ll want.

There are actually two kinds of brow lift procedures available. The traditional type entails an incision that is made all across your forehead. The cut is made just right below the hairline so the scars can easily be camouflaged. The extra skin is cut off and then the muscles in the area involved will be tightened for that more natural look. After that, a suture is made to close the area and reduce the sagging and wrinkling. To make the skin tighter and smoother-looking, it is stretched all the way across the forehead. The great thing about doing it this way is that you avoid wrinkles from forming in different directions. Then, the doctor will put a bandage to protect germs from sticking to the open wound. The area should be cleaned and covered until it dries up and heals.

Of course, like all other procedures, developments and changes have been made to serve the client’s needs better. The latest type of brow lift makes use of an endoscope. This is basically a tiny camera that the doctor uses so he can monitor what is happening via a large screen. Because the area is magnified significantly, your surgeon will be able to make finer and smaller incisions that leave very little scars after. And unlike the traditional means, skin isn’t cut out or removed. And the forehead is only lightly stretched. It is a lot less invasive and the healing process is faster.

While the new method is already available, this is still better for the younger set of patients. This is perfect for those who only want to make slight changes that aren’t too drastic and apparent. The finished product looks natural and the changes aren’t too extreme. In fact, people will only notice that you look fresher and younger, but not all of them will assume that you’ve recently had surgery. But for the older clients, the first method still works best. The more wrinkles you have, the more comprehensive your surgery will be if you really want to enjoy the difference.

If you’re not certain with what to get, talk to the specialist. They will be able to describe the changes in better detail and give you the advice you need. This will all depend on the severity of the signs of aging on your face. Also, do some research on your own so you can talk about what you learned and air out your concerns. The best thing about the brow lift is that you can keep all your features looking even. And now, it’s all up to you to decide.
